At Little Chestnuts Pre-School we pride ourselves in working with our local community to support children’s development and learning. 

Children start to learn about the world around them from the moment they are born. The care and education offered by our setting helps children to continue to do this by providing all of the children with interesting activities that are appropriate for their age and stage of development.  

Little Chestnuts therefore offer a range of activities: 

Yoga

Learning basic yoga, whilst helping our children to find some quiet time and reflect on what they have learnt and enjoyed in their day at pre-school.

Outside Discovery

Learning about nature and wildlife by taking part in activities where the children explore and play through hands-on experiences in an outdoor setting. These include, exploring plants and the earth around them as well as outdoor cooking and lots more.

We also get out and about at our local allotment, in which we grow our own fruit and vegetables to use in our cooking sessions.

Lunch Club

We provide a cold buffet style lunch each day, where the children can try new foods, make healthy eating choices. Fee £1.80 per lunch.

Cooking Club

weekly we bake, make some delicious savory and healthy sweet foods to have with our buffet lunch or take home. 

​

Dance classes with ADC dance.

dance classes are Tuesday 11.15am and Thursday 10.15am, 30 minutes each lesson during term time.

​

Weekly Sport lesson with Multi coaching.

every Wednesday 10.30am -11.30am term time.

​

All of our enrichment activities are funded through donations from each child. We suggest a £20 donation from each family to help cover the cost of these activities.
